Easy Matcha Latte

I simply adore matcha since, in addition to the many positive effects it has on one's health, it can be used in a wide variety of recipes. These days, the powdered form of the tea known as matcha is used in a variety of different dishes, including those involving baking and beverages. The powder has an earthy flavor, which gives it a fresh feel and gives you the impression that you are putting something really beneficial for your body into your system, which is exactly the case.

It contributes to the feel of this beverage being more refreshing when combined with milk and ice.

This is a pretty straightforward and simple recipe...and quick to prepare, so it will give you that satisfying feeling that is both nourishing and invigorating in a matter of minutes.

Makes 1 serving

Equipment: Shaker


Ingredients:

  • ¾ cup milk (any kind), I used almond milk

  • ⅓ cup cold water

  • 2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup

  • 1 teaspoon culinary matcha powder

  • ¾ cup ice

Let's Shake it!

  • Pour milk, followed by honey or maple syrup in a cocktail shaker. Shake for 15 seconds.

  • Pour sweetened milk into a glass then add ice.

  • Rinse the cocktail shaker. Pour water, followed by matcha powder in the cocktail shaker. Shake for 15 seconds.

  • Slowly pour liquid matcha on top of the ice into the glass with milk to get a layered look.

  • Stir before drinking.
