Sojourn in the Heart of the Mexican Caribbean

The beach is the quintessential summer destination because...Now that school's out for the summer, families can enjoy a trip to the beach and soak up some much-needed vitamin-sea. My family and I recently relocated from the Philippines, and we're excited to take some time to see the sights and get to know our new home. For numerous years, my family and I could only afford to take a vacation if it was to Virginia Beach, which was only four hours away and where we could walk to everything we needed, including restaurants, grocery stores, coffee shops, and souvenir shops.

However, 2021 was a difficult year because that was the year my mother passed away from COVID-19. It was the year that, as everyone knows, the epidemic caused every country to go into lockdown...from places including the office, restaurants, classrooms, and even hospitals. We experienced every stage of grieving, but for those of us still here, life must carry on. So, we've decided to head somewhere that would perhaps help us forget our loss and concentrate on the future.

As a result, we booked an all-inclusive trip to Cancun, Quintana Roo, for a whole week at the RIU Palace Peninsula. The resort truly is an all-inclusive option. Every meal of the day is included...and as many mixed drinks as you can handle...A bottle of booze is conveniently located in each room because WHO DOES THAT?!...Rum, Tequila, Gin, and Vodka, Oh My!! Everything from the cuisine to the drinks to the hotel to the pools to the beach to the entertainment to the helpful staff makes the stay well worth the money.

Cenote Azul, located about an hour and a half outside of Cancun, was another destination of ours. A cenote is a sink hole or underwater cave that always has water in it. My husband and daughter had the courage to cliff jump here, and the turquoise waters are stunning, but I nearly fainted just watching them. I'd like to overcome my apprehensions at that moment, but I wouldn't want to be a spectacle if I drowned.no, I still plan on having fun on my holiday.

Regardless, our time in Cancun was fantastic. One of the finest parts of our trip, though, was the warm reception we received from the staff. smiling and ready to help employees.
